Gant Pécsi Kesztyű Ltd was founded by Mihály Marczi and partners in 1993. The initial enthusiasm took the little factory a long way: the first years marked a period of extraordinary growth. By 2006 the company reached an annual capacity of 150,000 pairs. During the summer high season, it employed 50 seasonal workers in addition to a regular staff of 130. Main markets for the company in this period were the USA, England, France, Russia and Austria. In Russia, Austria, Germany, and of course, Hungary, the company is selling its products under its own brand name. Mihály Marczi remained involved in the company’s life, using his 50 years of experience to ensure quality craftsmanship.
